Dear Parents and Guardians,
Next week, we will be holding our Parent Welcome Mornings. These are short meetings which offer parents & guardians an opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and for the teachers to provide an overview of the particular class level in question. Topics covered may include routines, activities planned, and expectations for the year. The meetings will take place from 08:25 to 08:45, following the timetable laid out below.
Monday, 9th October: 3rd & 4th class
Tuesday, 10th October: 1st & 2nd class
Wednesday, 11th October: 5th & 6th class
Thursday, 12th October: Junior & Senior Infants
There will be one meeting per grade (e.g. one meeting for 1st class with both teachers present). The child from that grade will be supervised together in another classroom by another member of the teaching staff. PowerPoint slides from the talks will be made available afterwards for parents who cannot attend due to work or other commitments.
Please note that due to the time available, these meetings will be for sharing general information rather than addressing individual questions. Formal Parent-Teacher meetings (Senior Infants to 6th Class) will take place in November. If parents/guardians would like to know more about the Primary School Curriculum, information can be found here. Tips for parents of primary school aged child can be found attached to this document. Additional resources for parents can be found at this link.
We hope you can make it!
Very best wishes,
Paul O’Dwyer
